01. THE ROLE
Between Creative
and Technical
Across five FII productions, I worked between the creative and technical teams, building the systems that allowed designers to create content for complex live environments.

I reconstructed the spaces in 3D, prepared production-ready scenes, built anamorphic systems, controlled the visual production and supervised the final output on site.

Depending on the project, I worked as a technical artist, 3D designer, visual supervisor or designer.
Visual Direction
The visual journey was built around energy, light and organic motion, creating a feeling of being inside a living, breathing space.

Flowing lines, particles and volumetric elements were developed to make the audience feel fully immersed in the dome.
LIGHT
Radiant, vibrant, full of life.
PARTICLES
Dynamic and organic motion.
SIMULATION
Fluid, natural behaviour.
DEPTH
Feeling of space beyond the surface.
Visual Development
The initial brief included basic concept images.

I developed the idea into a complete visual language, building the shapes, animation, lighting and compositing around the geometry of the Al Wasl Dome.
Designed for the Dome
The content wasn't made for a flat screen.
Every element was crafted to work with the unique geometry of the Al Wasl Dome.
Animation, scale and composition were developed to embrace the 360° surface and surround the audience with light and movement.

Simulation & Production
The entire sequence was built using procedural and simulated motion.
Smoke, particles and volumetric elements were the core of the visual language, creating the visual depth, energy and natural, organic feel.

Reflection
Working on Al Wasl was less about creating a single beautiful shot and more about understanding how a visual behaves when it becomes part of architecture.

The scale of the dome changes the way you think about composition, motion and depth. What works on a screen doesn't necessarily work when the audience is surrounded by the image.
What This Project Demonstrates
/ Large-scale experience & projection mapping
/ Art direction and visual development
/ Advanced 3D motion & simulation
/ Understanding of architecture and space
/ Full creative execution from concept to final
